Ford revealed today in Frankfurt the new 2012 Fiesta ST Concept, which previews the next generation of the model. The 2012 Ford Fiesta ST Concept is inspired by the Fiesta RS World Rally Car and the Fiesta Rallycross race cars. It's powered by a 1.6-litre Ford EcoBoost turbo petrol 4-cylinder engine, equipped with features Twin-independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT). Ford says that the 2012 Fiesta ST will develop 180PS with 240Nm of torque and that it will be able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7 seconds. Ford says that the top speed of the 2012 Fiesta ST will be 220 km/h. The 2012 Fiesta ST will be equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and it will have a 140g/km CO2 missions level.

Even though Ford calls it a concept, the vehicle seen in these images of very similar to the 2012 Fiesta ST production version. Some of the distinctive design features of the 2012 Fiesta ST include the large trapezoidal front grille, similar to the one of the Focus ST, a large rear diffuser and a rear roof spoiler. The 2012 Fiesta ST is fitted with 17-inch alloys and features Molten Orange exterior finish.

Right now, Ford did not disclose any details regarding the interior of the 2012 Fiesta ST, but we're sure it will feature sport seats, and a distinctive styling.
