Ford Fiesta ST 5 Door Concept

 »  »  »

The Ford Fiesta ST 5 door Concept was revealed today, ahead of its debut at the 2011 LA Auto Show. This is Ford's second Fiesta ST concept this year, after the three-door version unveiled at the Frankfurt auto show. In terms of styling, the 5-door Fiesta ST is pretty much identical to the 3-door model, except the two extra doors, of course. The Fiesta ST 5-door is powered by the same 1.6-liter Ford EcoBoost 4-cylinder turbo engine as the 3-door model. This engine is good for 180 hp and 177 lb.-ft. of torque. Ford's 2012 Fiesta ST 5-door will be equipped with twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT) and a 6-speed manual transmission.

The exterior design of Ford's 5-door Fiesta ST is inspired by the Fiesta RS WRC.

It has a large trapezoidal front grille, a rear diffuser and a twin exhaust system. The 17-inch alloy wheels and a distinctive body kit complete the Ford Fiesta ST five-door's "high-performance" look. Some interesting features of the 5-door Fiesta ST include the ventilated brake discs and the red calipers.

The production version of the Ford Fiesta ST 5-door concept will suffer only minor design changes. When it will go on sale, the 2012 Fiesta ST 5-door will probably feature slightly different headlights, but the rest will remain as you see in these images.
