A new spy video of the future generation 2012 Ford Fiesta ST surfaced the web this week. The clip shows a prototype that wear absolutely no camouflage tape. However, Ford's engineers might have disguised the Fiesta ST by adding new body panels. Even though the 2012 Fiesta ST seen in this short clip might not look exactly like the production version, it does give a good idea about what to expect.
This 2012 Ford Fiesta ST prototype was caught on camera while testing on the Nurburgring race track. If you watch the video closely, you'll notice that at some point it even catches a bit of air.
Ford is expected to power the 2012 Fiesta ST with
a 1.6-litre turbocharged EcoBoost engine that will send around 200 hp to the rear wheels. The 2012 Ford Fiesta ST is expected to have a top speed of around 140 mph and to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around 6 seconds.
Ford's Fiesta ST 2012 will be based on the three-door version of the model and will feature a slightly different front fascia. In fact, the front bumper and grille of the prototype in this clip seems similar to the ones of the Focus ST.
