Lotus has revealed today the updated, 2012 Lotus Elise Club Racer, which will have its world debut at the Geneva motor show next month. The new 2012 Lotus Elise Club Racer is even lighter than before, as the company's engineers manage to shed another 24 kg off its back. The 2012 Lotus Elise Club Racer is the company's first ever model to feature a Sport setting for the DPM (Dynamic Performance Management). apart from the new system, that lets less talented drivers impress the audience, the 2012 Lotus Elise Club Racer also comes with a re-tuned suspension, with Eibach springs and Bilstein dampers, and an adjustable anti-roll bar.
The 2012 Lotus Elise Club Racer continues to be powered by a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine
developing 142 PS / 104 kW / 140 hp at 6,800 rpm and 165 Nm / 122 lbft at 4,500 rpm. Being as light as possible, the 2012 Lotus Elise Club Racer has a reduce fuel consumption, and a CO2 emissions level of just 149 g/km.
The 2012 Lotus Elise Club Racer price list starts at £27,500 / €34,450 / CHF48,900. The updated version will be on sale soon.
