UPDATE: First 2015 Lotus Elise video added
The company has also released today the first images of the 2015 Lotus Elise and released the preliminary specifications of the new generation model. The 2015 Lotus Elise continues to be a 2 seater, mid-engined, rear wheel drive sportscar and a petrol engine equipped with a Start/Stop system. The company says that the 2015 Lotus Elise will also have a mild hybrid system.
The power of the 2015 Lotus Elise will comes from a small, 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that develops 320 PS and 330 Nm of torque. The engine of the 2015 Lotus Elise will be coupled with either a 6 Speed manual gearbox or an optional DCT transmission. The official 2015 Lotus Elise specs say it has a 150 g/km CO2 emissions level and weighs 1,095 kg.
Now for the performance numbers. The 2015 Lotus Elise will have a top speed of 270 km/h and a 0 to 100 km/g acceleration time of 4.3 seconds. The rev counter will stop at 7,800 rpm.
The 2015 Lotus Elise price will be set around the 35,000 GBP mark when it will go on sale in five years time. The production will begin in the same year.

that made the two-seater sports car famous, it still retains performance through lightweight and handles like a dream – albeit a quite aggressive and tension filled dream. With a 2.0 litre inline 4 pressure charged engine delivering up to 320 PS, the Elise 2015 should reach 0-100kph in under 4.5 seconds.
