The 2012 Lotus Esprit will offer a choice between the 3.5-litre V6 from the Evora, tuned to output in the region of 300 hp, and a 5.0-litre V8 with more than 400 hp. The top of the range 2012 Lotus Esprit V10 is said to have the same 4.8-litre V10 engine from the Lexus LF-A which outputs 550 hp.
The 2012 Lotus Esprit V10 is set to become one of the fastest cars on the market, with a top speed close to 200 mph.
