The 2011 Lotus Esprit will be joined by at least three other world premieres - the 2011 Lotus Seven and two new hybrid concepts. The 2011 Lotus Esprit, which has been held back by the development of the new Evora, will not follow the lines of the company of building lightweight models. Apparently, the 2011 Lotus Esprit will use less carbon fiber and aluminum than the other models of the brand, and will be powered by a turbo V8 engine mounted in the middle. The powertrain of the new hybrids will be based on the Lotus Omnivore unit that uses a three-cylinder, monobloc engine which provides electricity for the motor.
