The company has announced that the Lotus Evora S will be premiered at the Paris Auto Show this September, together with the automatic gearbox version of the model. Recently, the firs real Lotus Evora S info has surfaced the web as the new model is conducting final testing on the Nurburgring Nordschleife. According to British sources, the Lotus Evora S will be powered by the 3.5-litre V6 engine that will develop more than 350 hp and 300lb ft of torque. With the extra power under its skin, the Lotus Evora S could hit the 62 mph mark in less than 5 seconds with a top speed of 175 km/h.
To get more power out of the 3.5-liter unit, the Lotus Evora S is fitted with a supercharger system which was planned from the design phase of
the new model. The new supercharger goes between the cylinder banks of the Lotus Evora S, so it will not interfere with rear visibility.
From outside, the Lotus Evora S will not give many clues about the extra horses. The only visible difference between the Lotus Evora S and the standard morel will be a rear diffuser that will smooth the air flow as it comes out the rear of the car.
The Lotus Evora S price is expected to be around the 60,000 GBP mark.
