Lotus Evora S Police Car

 »  »  »

The Italian military police are going to travel in style from now on, as they have acquired two bespoke Lotus Evora S cars. The Arma dei Carabinieri units in Rome and Milan will receive the two Evoras, to be used during their activity. The Arma dei Carabinieri is similar to the Scotland Yard in the UK. The two Lotus Evora S Police cars are equipped with voice recognition technology including the EVA (Enhanced Vehicle Automation) system, and a portable refrigeration compartment to be used for transporting organs and blood required during medical emergencies.

The standard Lotus Evora S is powered by a 3.5 liter DOHC V6 VVT-I engine developing 350 PS / 257.5 kW at 7000 rpm and 400 Nm / 295 lb ft of torque at 4500 rpm.

The official performance figures say the Evora S is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.8 seconds and that it has a top speed of 172mph.

The two Lotus Evora S Police cars however, might be a little more powerful than that, but we'll never know that for sure.
