Nissan unveiled today at the Shanghai auto show their new global hatchback, the 2012 Tiida. The new 2012 Nissan Tiida targets the younger family, and promises to offer premium styling, comfort and that the company calls a 'PURE DRIVE revolutionary powertrain'. Nissan hopes the new 2012 Tiida will offer a premium feel though its design, and we hope the quality of the materials will back up this goal.
The wheelbase of the 2012 Tiida is increased by 100 mm which should offer plenty of extra room in comparison to the current generation model. Nissan says they have also improved the outside visibility with the 2012 Tiida.
The Nissan Tiida 2012 model year is powered by
the HR16DE engine which has received a range of new technologies to improve its fuel efficiency and reduce its CO2 emissions. The 2012 Nissan Tiida comes equipped with the Xtronic CVT with an auxiliary transmission.
The 2012 Tiida price list has not been announced yet, but Nissan says the new model will be introduced in more than 130 countries by 2014.
