Overnight, the first images of the 2012 Porsche 911 leaked over the web, showing both the exterior and the interior of the 991 model. The 2012 911 shows major exterior restyling, with a new front fascia and rear section. The front of the 2012 911 shows a new front bumper, with larger air intakes, and LED daytime running lights, while the rear features fresh new tail lights, bumper and engine lid. The A-pillar of the 2012 911 Porsche is modified and the 991 version model features new side mirrors mounted on the doors. The 2012 991 also comes with anew light alloy wheels. The general proportions of the 2012 Porsche 911 have been modified, and the sports car is not longer than its predecessor.

Porsche also re-designed the interior of the new

911, and is now using higher quality materials. The center console, steering wheel and instrument panel show various modifications and the car seems to have more buttons, which is good. The 2012 911 in this leaked images is equipped with Porsche's PDK double-clutch 7-speed transmission, as suggested by the gear lever.

Apart from the obvious design changes, Porsche also gives the 2012 911 new engines. The 2012 911 Carrera is powered by a downsized 3.4-liter engine with an output of 345 hp.



The previous version had a 3.6-liter unit. The 911 Carrera S will develop 395 hp from a 3.8-liter unit, and rumor has it that the 2012 Porsche 911 Turbo will be a 543 hp monster.
