Porsche announced today that two 911 RSR race cars are going to compete in the 2014 Tudor United SportsCar Championship. These two cars managed to get a double victory in the GTE-Pro class at this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours, so they're a force to be reckoned with. The two 911 RSR race cars are going to compete under the colors of the Porsche North America team. This team is based at Porsche Motorsport North America in Santa Ana, CA, south of Los Angeles. Porsche North America is going to race the 911 RSR cars in collaboration with the CORE Autosport squad. Porsche's first race in the 2014 Tudor United SportsCar Championship is going to be the Daytona 24 Hours classic in Florida on 25 January 2014. The Porsche 911 RSR (991) is powered by a 4.0-litre 6-cylinder boxer engine that develops 460 hp.
The German carmaker is going to announce their driver line-up for the 2014 Tudor United SportsCar Championship at a later date.
