Recently, the 2012 Porsche 911 hybrid has been spied while running some testing laps around the Nurburgring race track in Germany. Porsche has unveiled the 911 GT3 Hybrid at the last Geneva auto show and it seems there will be a road going version too. If this will be the case, the 2012 Porsche 911 hybrid will probably have the same engine layout as the GT3 which means it will have a 4.0-liter flat-six rear engine and two electric motors. The petrol engine of the 2012 Porsche 911 hybrid will develop 480 bhp while the 2 electric motors, with 60 kW each, will power the front axle of the car.
The 2012 Porsche 911 hybrid will also have some of the aerodynamic parts seen on the GT3, including the side vents on the rear fenders.
The 2012 Porsche 911 hybrid price is not known yet, but the new model is expected to go on sale in 2012.
