The German Porsche specialists from RUF unveiled this week the updated 2012 version of the CTR3 supercar. The car's dimensions have not changed since the previous version, however, its power output did. The most important update brought by the third generation RUF CTR is the engine architecture. The 2012 CTR3 has a mid-engine layout, while the previous two were rear-engine vehicles. The 2012 RUF CTR3 weighs 3,086 lbs and measures 4,445 mm / 175.0 inch in length, 1,944 mm / 76.5 inch in width and 1,200 mm / 47.2 inch in height. It has a 2,625 mm / 103.3 in wheelbase. The power of RUF's 2012 CTR3 comes from 3,746 cm (3.8-liter) flat-six cylinder twin-turbocharged engine that develops 552 kW (750 bhp) at 7,100 rpm and 960 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.

RUF's official performance figures for the 2012 CTR3 say that the new supercar can get from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.2 seconds and to 125 mph (200 km/h) in 9.6 seconds. The top speed of the 2012 CTR3 RUF Porsche is rated at 236 mph (380 km/h).

RUF also released the fuel consumption figures of the 2012 CTR3. It has a 20 l / 100 km fuel consumption in the city, 9.9 l/100 km on the highway and 13.5 l/100 km in the combined cycle. The car emits 311 g of CO2 per kilometer.

The 2012 RUF CTR3 price list has not been announced yet.
