Over the weekend, the first video showing the next generation 2012 Porsche 911 completely undisguised surfaced the web. The clip was filmed in Germany as the 2012 911 was travelling on public streets. Unfortunately, we're able to see only the rear side of the 911, as the guy filming it could not get in front of the next generation Porsche. As a bonus, the clip also offers a rare occasion to hear the exhausts and engine sound of the new 911.
Porsche did not disclose any details regarding the 2012 911 so far, but we do have a few details on the new model. It will be powered by a 3.4-liter engine in the Carrera version, which will develop 350 hp. The 2012 Carrera S will be good for 400 hp.
So far, the output of the 2012 Porsche 911 Turbo is still an open debate. In terms of transmission options, Porsche will sell the 2012 911 with either the PDK double-clutch gearbox or a 7-speed manual one.
