The German Porsche specialists from RUF Automobile have presented at this year's Geneva motor show the R version of their Rt 12 model, based on the Porsche 911. The aerodynamic enhancements are obvious, so we'll go on to the "fun" part. To power the Rt 12R Porsche 911, RUF uses the 3.8 liter bi-turbo boxer engine and upgrades it to 537 kW (730 bhp) at 7,000 rpm and 940 Nm at 3,500 rpm. To sends all the power harnessed from the engine to all four wheels, the RUF Rt 12R Porsche 911 uses a 6 speed manual gearbox. The RUF Rt 12R Porsche 911 is available as standard with a 4WD system. The rear-wheel-drive system comes as an option.

With a dry weight of 1,495 kg, those 537 horsepower go a very long way.

The official top speed of the RUF Rt 12R Porsche 911 is announced to be 370 km/h, which comes very close to the Veyron. However, the RUF Rt 12R Porsche 911 price doesn't. It's "only" 279,000.00 Euro.
