The new 2013 Maserati Quattroporte had its world debut at this year's North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Maserati is going to offer the new Quattroporte (2013) with a choice between two engines, which have been designed in-house. The engines are going to be built by Ferrari in Maranello and are going to be mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox. The most powerful version of the 2013 Quattroporte has a 3.8-litre, twin turbo V8 engine that develops 390 kW / 530 hp at 6500-6800 rpm and 710 Nm of torque at 2250–3500 rpm. With this engine, the new Maserati Quattroporte (2013) is able to get from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.7 seconds and to reach a top speed of 191mph (307 km/h). So far, the fuel economy and the CO2 emissions of the 2013 Quattroporte V8 have not been disclosed.

However, Maserati says that the new V8 version is 20% more efficient than its predecessor.

The 2013 Maserati Quattroporte V6 has a 3.0-litre, twin turbo engine that puts out 410 hp and its 550 Nm of torque. The V6 Quattroporte is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.9 seconds. It can reach a maximum speed of 177 mph (285 km/h). Maserati is going to sell an all-wheel-drive version of the 2013 Quattroporte V6, but on LHD markets only. The AWD Maserati Quattroporte Q4 distributes the engine's torque 50/50 between the front and the rear axle.

The 2013 Maserati Quattroporte comes with a near 50:50 weight distribution, a double-wishbone front suspension and a state-of-the-art five-link rear suspension. Maserati will sell the 2013 Quattroporte with a four or five seat configuration. Its equipment list includes a Touch Control screen, adjustable pedals, reverse cameras. Optional extras include a 15-speaker, 1280 Watt Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and WLAN-based WiFi.

The 2013 Maserati Quattroporte's price list starts at £108,125 OTR for the V8 model and at £80,070 OTR for the V6 versions. The first units are going to be delivered this summer.
