Peugeot revealed today the updated version of the 308 hatchback (2014), which is going to have its world debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The new 2014 Peugeot 308 will probably go on sale soon after its auto show debut, but its price has not been announced yet. The new Peugeot 308 (2014) comes with a completely new interior and exterior design, as well as with new technology. Measuring 4.25 meters in length, the 2014 Peugeot 308 comes with a new front grille, modified headlights with integrated LED DRLs, and re-styled rear lights. The 2014 Peugeot 308's interior has also been redesigned. The French carmaker's designers shaped the 2014 308's interior around the i-cockpit concept. Everything is arranged so that the driver can focus better on the road.

The 2014 Peugeot 308 is equipped with a compact steering wheel, a head-up instrument display, and a 9.7-inch touch-screen interface. The 2014 Peugeot 308's interface removes the need for physical buttons and switches.

Thanks to the EMP2 modular platform, the new Peugeot 308 (2014) is a lighter than its predecessor, which it improves its fuel economy and reduces its CO2 emissions. Peugeot says that the 2014 308 is going to be around 140kg lighter than the current versions of the hatch. Some versions of the new 2014 Peugeot 308 will emit just 85g/km of CO2.

Peugeot is going to announce the engine line-up for the 2014 308 model range at a later date.
