Peugeot revealed this week a hybrid monster, the 308 R HYbrid, which puts out no less than 500 hp. Imagine 500 hp in a car the size of the Peugeot 308. The Peugeot 308 R HYbrid is powered by the 1.6-liter THP petrol engine and two electric motors that develop 115 hp each. As a result, the Peugeot 308 R HYbrid delivers 500 hp and 730 Nm of torque. The new 308 R HYbrid comes with all-wheel-drive and according to its official specs it vcan accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.0 seconds. Frankly, this is a bit slow taking into account its power and its weight. The hot hatch is electronically limited to a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h) and it emits 70 g/km of CO2. The Peugeot 308 R HYbrid offers four driving modes.

In Track Mode delivers 400 hp and 530 Nm, while in the Road mode you'll get "just" 300 hp and 400 Nm of torque. To get its full potential you'll have to set your Peugeot 308 R HYbrid on the Hot Lap mode. Apart from the massive powertrain, the Peugeot 308 R HYbrid is also equipped with a bespoke body kit, a stiffer suspension system, bigger brakes and a range of other upgrades. Here are the full specifications of the Peugeot 308 R HYbrid.
