General Motors revealed today the new generation 2015 Cadillac Escalade, which will go on sale at the beginning of next year. The new Cadillac Escalade (2015) is going to be sold in two versions: the regular one and the extended-length ESV edition. The 2015 Cadillac Escalade ESV has a 14-inch-longer (355 mm) wheelbase and it's 20 inches (508 mm) longer. The 2015 Escalade ESV offers more room for the third-row passengers as well as 60% more luggage space behind the rear bench. Cadillac is going to offer the new 2015 Escalade with a choice between a 2WD and a 4WD drivetrain. The new Escalade (2015) is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine that has a horsepower output of 420 hp (313 kW) and 460 lb-ft of torque (623 Nm). This is 5% more power and 10% more torque than its predecessor.
The 2015 Escalade SUV comes with direct injection, Active Fuel Management, cylinder deactivation, continuously variable valve timing and an advanced combustion system. The engine of the new Escalade (2015) is mated to a Hydra-Matic 6L80 6-speed automatic gearbox with TapShift control.
For the 2015 Escalade, Cadillac has developed a more efficient chassis and suspension system. The new Caddy comes with a coilover front suspension, a wider rear track, a 9.5-inch rear axle with an automatic locking rear differential, StabiliTrak and magnetic ride control.
The new Cadillac Escalade (2015) comes with a new exterior design and it features full LED lighting. The SUV is the first vehicle to feature headlights equipped with a Total Internal Reflection LED high-beam function. The new 2015 Escalade is also equipped with LED-illuminated door handles. The SUV comes with inlaid doors, active air shutters that close at certain speeds for improved aerodynamic efficiency, and an aluminum hood and liftgate.
For the interior of the 2015 Escalade, Cadillac chose wood trim parts, suede accents, ambient lighting, and triple-sealed doors. Cadillac is going to sell the 2015 Escalade with a standard CUE system, an 8-inch center screen with capacitive touch and gesture recognition, a high-resolution 12.3-inch digital driver information center display, Bluetooth connectivity and a range of other gizmos.
