The all-wheel-drive 2016 Ford Focus RS had its world debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. It appears that Ford has finally understood you can't really put that much power on the front wheels only. Ford's 2016 Focus RS AWD is powered by a 4-cylinder 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engine that also equips the new Mustang. This means that the 2016 Focus RSD develops 315 hp and 433 Nm of torque. Probably the real highlight of the new Focus RS (2016) is it's AWD system, which will get rid of the torque steer that affected the previous versions of the hot hatch. Ford equips the 2016 Focus RS with dynamic torque vectoring control, and two electronically-controlled clutch packs on each side of the rear drive unit. Ford says that the new Focus RS (2016) can send up to 70 percent of the torque to the rear axle.

They're official specs also say that, depending on the situation, each of the rear wheels of the 2016 Focus RS can receive up to 100 percent of the available torque.

The equipment list of the 2016 Ford Focus RS includes 19-inch alloys, a high-performance large-bore exhaust system with dual pipes and valve control, Recaro sport seats, a Sony sound system, flat-bottomed steering wheel and other goodies. Here are the full specifications of the 2016 Ford Focus RS. Its price and availability are going to be announced at a later date.
