More and more we’re wondering where is the world headed to. We've known for some time now that the next gen Evo will probably by a hybrid. As if this was not enough, one of the latest rumors say the next generation Ford Focus RS will also be a hybrid. But there's also some good news. Apparently, the Ford Focus RS hybrid, which will be based on the new gen focus unveiled in Detroit, will be joined by the Ford Focus RS Clubsport.

The Ford Focus RS Clubsport will be a stripped down version of the current RS, powered by the same 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo tuned to output 350 hp. The Ford Focus RS Clubsport will feature lighter seats and a lowered, stiffer suspension. The Ford Focus RS Clubsport price will start at around 40,000 EUR and will be built in only 500 units.

Back to the Ford Focus RS hybrid, the rumor says it will also be available in an all-wheel-drive configuration. Under its hood, it will house a 2.0 EcoBoost direct-injection turbo engine coupled with an electric motor. The Ford Focus RS hybrid is expected to develop around 300 hp and to hit the 100 km/h mark in around 5 seconds.
