General Motors revealed today the new generation 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. GM released its full specifications and its complete equipment list. The new 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1 is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 small block supercharged engine, which, according to the official specs, develops 640 hp (477 kW) and 640 lb-ft (868 Nm) of torque. In comparison, the previous Camaro ZL1 puts out 550 hp and 550 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine of the 2017 Camaro ZL1 is coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters and a 7.39 overall ratio. Chevrolet is going to sell the new Camaro ZL1 (2017) with a six-speed manual gearbox (with active rev matching) too. The equipment list of the 2017 Camaro ZL1 includes a Magnetic Ride suspension, an electronic limited-slip differential, a Driver Mode Selector and a dual-mode exhaust.
Chevy's 2017 Camaro ZL1 comes with advanced aerodynamics, which required more than 100 hours of wind tunnel testing. All the muscle car's body parts play a role in managing airflow over, under and through the vehicle. The new Camaro ZL1 (2017) comes with a massive front grille, a distinctive hood with a carbon fiber insert and heat extractor, a front splitter, re-styled rocker panels, wider fenders and a rear wing.
At the interior, the 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1 features Recaro seats, a flat bottom steering wheel, and an optional Performance Data Recorder.
The equipment list of the new Chevy Camaro ZL1 (2017) includes a Performance Traction Management system, a launch control function, 20-inch forged aluminum wheels, Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, and Brembo brakes (six-piston Monoblock front calipers with 15.35-inch / 390 mm discs).
The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1's price has not been announced yet, but GM says it will put it on sale later this year.
