Chevrolet announced today the Camaro ZL1 price for the United States market, where it will go on sale next spring. The ZL1 is the most powerful Camaro ever built by Chevrolet. It's equipped with a 6.2-liter engine developing 580 hp (432 kW) and 556 lb.-ft. of torque (754 Nm). With this huge powerplant under its hood, the ZL1 Camaro is able to rocket from zero to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds (manual transmission) or 3.9 seconds (automatic gearbox). The Camaro ZL1 is rated with a top speed of 180 mph / 184 mph (manual / automatic). Chevrolet claims that the ZL1 can run the quarter mile in 12.1 sec at 119 mph (12.0 sec at 119 mph - automatic).

The Camaro ZL1 price list starts at $54,995 USD.

The base price will get you the Performance Traction Management and the Magnetic Ride suspension. You'll also get engine, transmission and rear differential coolers, together with brake cooling ducts at no additional cost.

The Camaro ZL1's base price mentioned above does not include the $1,185 6-speed automatic transmission with TapShift controls, the $900 sunroof, nor the $470 20-inch alloys. Other options offered for the ZL1 include "go-faster" stripes, for $470, a carbon fiber hood insert for $600 and the suede package, which will cost you an extra $500 USD.
