The British carmaker revealed today the Aston Martin DB9 GT, which is equipped with a 547 hp 6.0-liter V12 engine. The public debut of the Aston Martin DB9 GT is going to take place at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed, which is going to start tomorrow. Apart from the new DB9 GT, Aston Martin is also going to premiere new color, trim and equipment additions for the Vantage and the Rapide S models. According to Aston's official specifications, the all-alloy, quad overhead cam, 48-valve 5,935 cc front mid-mounted V12 engine of the DB9 GT develops 547 PS at 6750 rpm, and 620 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The DB9 GT comes equipped with a rear mid-mounted Touchtronic II 6-speed gearbox with an electronic shift-by-wire control system.
The official performance figures say that the Aston DB9 GT is able to accelerate from naught to 62 mph (100 km/g) in 4.5 seconds. Its top speed is rated at 183 mph.
The Aston Martin DB9 GT is fitted with an independent double wishbone suspension an all four corners, and a three-stage Adaptive Damping System (ADS) with three settings (Normal, Sport and Track). Its equipment list includes the AMi II touch-sensitive infotainment system, and USB and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Aston DB9 GT's distinctive features include a black painted splitter and diffuser, new headlights and rear light clusters, ten-spoke 20-inch alloys, Black anodized brake calipers and aluminum fuel filler cap. Aston Martin is offering a few personalization options for the DB9 GT. These include carbon fiber inserts at the rear, side strakes, a carbon splitter and diffuser, and a special set of graphite, diamond-turned rims.
For the interior of the DB9 GT, Aston is offering a leather upholstery, the iridium trim pack, and Alcantara-covered steering wheel. Optionally, you can equip your Aston Martin DB9 GT with a special steering wheel, inspired by the One-77.
The Aston Martin DB9 GT's price starts at £140,000 RRP in the UK. If you live in the rest of Europe you'll have to pay at least €187,000. The United States version of the DB9 GT is going to cost you at least $199,950.
