Aston Martin revealed today the new 2013 DB9, just as they put the Virage out of production. The 2013 Aston Martin DB9 comes with numerous updates, new interior and exterior styling and various technological innovations. From the launch Aston will sell the 2013 DB9 both as a coupe and as a soft-top Volante (convertible). In terms of design, the new Aston DB9 (2013) comes with restyled Bi-xenon headlights, a larger front grille, a new front splitter. The 2013 DB9 comes with a redesigned side strake, which integrates LED side-repeaters. The rear of the new Aston Martin DB9 (2013) shows little changes, which include clear tail lights and a discreet lip integrated into the boot lid.
For the interior of the 2013 DB9, Aston Martin chose the same leather as the one used in the Virage. The jewel-like glass switchgear is also present. As an optional extra, Aston Martin is offering lightweight seats made from carbon fiber and Kevlar, but these are available only with the 2+0 seating option. The seats reduce the weight of the 2013 DB9 by 17 kg.
The 2013 Aston Martin DB9 is powered by the new AM11 V12 engine (6.0-liter), which puts out 510 bhp (517 PS) at 6,500 rpm and 620 Nm (457 lb ft) at 5,500 rpm. The official specifications of the 2013 DB9 say it can get from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds and that it can reach a top speed of 183 mph (295 km/h).
The engine of the new DB9 (2013) is mated to a Touchtronic 2 six-speed transmission with an electronic shift-by-wire control system. The car is fitted with a limited slip diff. So far, Aston did not disclose the fuel efficiency and the CO2 emission figures for the new 2013 DB9.

Aston Martin is going to launch the 2013 DB9 in October in UK and Western Europe, other markets following soon after. This is the 2013 DB9's price list:
