Aston Martin Virage To Be Replaced

 »  »  »

According to various sources, Aston Martin is looking for replacements for the Virage, which was launched just 18 months ago. Apparently, Virage's sales did not meet Aston's expectations. The 1,000 units of the Virage did not meet the carmaker's target, so they will probably take it out of production soon. Word is Aston Martin is going to replace the Virage with a modified version of the DB9, but so far, no official details about the matter have been released. The Virage is inspired by Aston's hypercar, the One-77 and is meant to broaden the offer of the British car manufacturer. After the Vanquish, the DB9 and the Vantage V12, the Virage is Aston Martin’s fourth model to be powered by a large V12 engine. It looks like the company will return to the first three models.

The future DB9, which is going to replace the Virage too, is expected to output more than 500 hp. However, it will be less expensive, and less powerful, than the Vanquish.
