New info regarding the Audi Q6 surfaced the web today, as a test mule was spied during testing on the Nurburgring race track in Germany. The Audi Q6 is based on a Q5 SUV, which received a winder and longer body, together with an extended wheelbase. So far, there are no actual details of the Q6 available, except the fact that it will enter the same market segment as BMW's X6. This leaves room for some speculations. Audi's Q6 will probably be a coupe SUV, with a muscular look, that will fill the gap in the Ingolstadt manufacturer's line-up.
The Audi Q6 will be slightly longer than the Q5, and will fall between the Q5 and the Q7 in the company's lineup. This means thee Q6 will be more expensive than the Q5, but it will cost less than a Q7.
Audi will offer the Q6 with both petrol and diesel engines, however, an X6M rival is not to be expected in the near future. Even though there have been some rumors about possible Q5 RS and Q6 RS versions, Audi did not give any indications in this direction.
