The BMW M4 coupe concept had its world debut last weekend at the annual Pebble Beach/Monterey automobile weekend. These are the first images of the new high-performance concept, which is going to replace the M3 coupe in the Bavarian carmaker's model line-up. So far BMW has not confirmed the M4's specifications. Some rumors suggest that the production version of the M4 coupe concept is going to be powered by the 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine. If this is the case, we should expect the BMW M4 to have a horsepower output of around 450 hp and around 550 Nm of torque. This is 30 hp more than the current M3 coupe, which has a much larger V8 engine. As you can expect, the new M4 Bimmer is going to have an automatic transmission and a rear-wheel-drive system.
In comparison to the standard 4 Series, the M4 comes with a few distinctive design cues. These include much more aggressive front bumper, a modified hood featuring a central power dome, a rear diffuser and M's trademark four-tailpipe exhaust system.
