BMW officially announced today the M4's Nurburgring Nordschleife lap time, which is significantly better than the one of its predecessor, the M3 coupe. According o BMW, the M4 managed to run a lap of the "Green Hell" in 7 minutes and 52 seconds, which is 13 seconds faster than the previous M3 coupe. The BMW M4 used for setting the Nurburgring lap record was equipped with the M Driver's Package and the 7-speed Double Clutch M DCT transmission. The new M4 Bimmer is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre in-line 6-cylinder engine that puts out 431 hp and 550 Nm of torque. With this powertrain, the BMW M4 is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.1 seconds and to reach an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

Unfortunately, BMW did not release a video of their attempt so far. This means we'll have to wait a bit longer before seeing the M4 set its Nurburgring lap time.
