BMW released today a new teaser video of the high-performance X6 M50d, which will be the first ever, diesel M car. Brian Watts, who is BMW M's Head of Global Sales and Marketing, says about the X6 M50d that it's a new type of car. One that makes you feel like every road is a racetrack. Thomas Schemera, who is a Sales Director at BMW, says about the new diesel X6 M50d that it looks and sounds like a sports car. He also mentions that it has precise steering and powerful brakes.

Unfortunately, this new teaser video does not bring any new details regarding the BMW X6 M50d.

So far we've learned that the BMW X6 M50d is powered by a tri-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, which develops 381 hp and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque. In comparison, the petrol powered X6M outputs almost 200 hp more, as it's rated at 555 hp. BMW also let it slip that the BMW X6 M50d has a zero to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of 4.9 seconds, which is just 0.4 seconds slower than the X6M.
