The Chiron is ready to write a new chapter in the Bugatti story. VAG (Volkswagen Group) plans to publish it in the iconic brand's book at the 2016 Geneva Auto Show in March next year. As a Christmas card, Bugatti released this teaser image of the Chiron. The teaser doesn't show much, obviously, but it does give a glimpse of the new beast's silhouette. Bugatti Chiron's technical specifications are a close guarded secret at the moment, but here are the rumors. Apparently, the Bugatti Chiron is powered by an 8.0-liter W16 engine with four turbos. This powertrain is expected to put out around 1,500 hp and 1,500 Nm of torque. The power goes to all four wheels via a custom made 7-speed DSG transmission. Rumors has it the Bugatti Chiron will be able to hit the 62 mph (100 km/h) mark in 2.3 seconds.
And here comes the fun part! The top speed is expected to be around 310 mph (close to 500 km/h)!
Bugatti already received around 100 orders for the Chiron and they plan to build 500 of them. There's no point in talking about the price at the moment. The Bugatti Chiron is going to be sold as a coupe, but it will also come as an open top. We'll have more details about the Bugatti Chiron as soon as they're going to be available.
