The vinyl wrap specialists from CoverEFX revealed today a new program for the Mini Cooper S, which they call the MINI R53 Project One. Apart from the obvious visual updates, CoverEFX also gave the Mini Cooper a little extra horsepower and torque. The CoverEFX Mini Cooper R53 develops 240 hp. The tuner did not announce the increase in torque. The power upgrade was developed in collaboration with MR Car Design and includes a re-programmed ECU and a modified turbocharger.
CoverEFX's new Cooper S sits on 17 inch Emotion Wheels rims and features a special two-tone vinyl wrap in teflon gray metallic combined with electro red metallic. CoverEFX also removed the various badges that usually come with the Mini Cooper S, and gave it smoked headlights.
CoverEFX's upgrade program for the Mini Cooper S is a bit expensive in our opinion. They will charge you 8,000 EUR for this kit.
