Donkervoort D8 GTO Bare Naked Carbon Edition

 »  »  »

Donkervoort revealed today the new D8 GTO Bare Naked Carbon Edition, which is the carmaker's first model to feature visible carbon fiber. Basically, this is probably a car Darth Vader would drive. It is powered by a 2.5-liter R5 TFSI turbocharged engine developed by Audi. Donkervoort does not disclose the horsepower and torque output of this engine, but they do mention the D8 GTO Bare Naked Carbon is extremely lightweight and fast. The Donkervoort D8 GTO Bare Naked Carbon Edition is almost entirely made of this material. At the interior, the seats, door panels, window frame, dashboard, door sills, ignition cylinder housing, belt-and-roll bar trim and headlight housings are all made of carbon fiber.

The previous version of the D8 GTO had an output of 400 hp and 450 Nm of torque. We can only imagine the Bare Naked Carbon Edition has a similar output. The Donkervoort D8 GTO Bare Naked Carbon Edition's price and availability have not been announced yet. The previous versions of the car were priced from just under 200,000 EUR.
