Donkervoort revealed today the D8 GTO 1000 Miglia Edition to mark their first entry in the famous Italian road rally. The Mille Miglia is a 37-year-old rally that takes place between Brescia and Rome. Donkervoort was invited to provide the rally's Official Support Car. The Donkervoort D8 GTO 1000 Miglia was built with the sole purpose of improving the car's ease-of-use and comfort, in contrast with its track-oriented predecessors, such as the Bilster Berg Edition. It is powered by a 2.5-liter R5 TFSI engine developed by Audi, which puts out 310 bhp. The 1000 Miglia Donkervoort D8 GTO weighs slightly more than its predecessors, with a total weight of 760 kg. This is due to less use of carbon fiber in its construction. The D8 GTO 1000 Miglia has a higher ride height and a softer suspension.

It comes with conventional dials, phone connectivity, a navigation system, and a new dashboard.

The Donkervoort D8 GTO 1000 Miglia Edition's price starts at €115,000. The carmaker plans to build just 25 units of the new special edition model.
