Koenigsegg Edition CCXR

 »  »  »

We finally received all the technical details of the Koenigsegg Edition CCXR and Koenigsegg Edition CCX special editions that have taken the net by storm a few days ago. The Koenigsegg Edition CCXR and CCX are built due to requests made by some (we think very important) Koenigsegg clients.

The Koenigsegg Edition comes in two limited version models, the Koenigsegg CCXR and Koenigsegg CCX.

Both Koenigsegg CCXR and Koenigsegg CCX are powered by a 5.0 liter twin supercharged Koenigsegg engine. The Koenigsegg Edition CCXR and CCX are more track oriented compared to the standard models,

being equipped with stiffer springs and anti-roll bars, reset dampers and a lowered chassis. The Koenigsegg Edition CCXR and the CCX also feature a fully visible carbon body, a large adjustable rear wing, larger front splitter and side strakes and a unique forged wheel design.

The interior is also reworked and features; color matched leather carpets, Koenigsegg Edition side step plates, Edition chronograph instrument cluster, a new Edition only layout for the center console control panels.

All other extra equipment for the Koenigsegg Edition CCXR and CCX comes as standard: Carbon Wheels, Special interior trim and color, Rearview camera, Satnav or Bluetooth, Amplifiers, complete Inconell exhaust system.

The Koenigsegg Edition CCX will be built, sadly, in only 14 units with a power output of 888 hp and at a price of 1,330,000 Euro per unit.

The Koenigsegg Edition CCXR is going to be an E85/petrol flex fuel version and it is going to be built, even more sadly, in just 6 units. The Koenigsegg Edition CCXR has a 1018 bhp

power output and a 1,500,000 Euro price tag.

The Koenigsegg Edition supercars are some of the most exclusive on the planet, with just a total of 20 being built. No, their are not already sold. Just the first from each version is 'already spoken for'. Big thumbs up! to Koenigsegg for announcing them before they got sold.

Each Koenigsegg Edition car comes with 5 years free Service and Warranty.

The Koenigsegg Edition CCXR and CCX will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor show in March 2008, where the first delivery will take place.
