To celebrate their success in the British Touring Car Championship, MG revealed today the new MG6 GT BTCC Edition, which had its public debut at Brands Hatch. The MG6 GT BTCC Edition comes with a matt black roof, 18-inch alloys, black gloss side skirts, door mirror covers, lower front air dam, rear bumper and rear spoiler. MG chose for the MG6 BTCC an Arctic White finish, but the special edition model is also going to be available in Union Blue. The front grille of the MG6 BTCC features a special badge. The car also features MG KX Momentum Racing team's colors on various decals scattered around the car. The power the MG6 BTCC, MG chose a 1.8-litre turbo petrol engine that's good for 160 PS. This engine is able to accelerate this special MG6 from nought to 62 mph in 8.4 seconds and up to a top speed of 120 mph.
The equipment list of the MG6 BTCC includes satellite navigation, sport seats, Dunlop Sport tires, an electronic hill hold function, power folding and heated side mirrors, an iTPMS tire monitoring system, rear parking sensors, front fog lights, cruise control, CD audio with USB and auxiliary inputs for MP3/IPod connectivity and a leather covered multifunction steering wheel.
The MG6 BTCC's price starts at £16,995 GBP. If you order yours before December 31 2012, you'll receive VIP tickets to a 2013 BTCC race.
