The updated 2013 Hennessey Venom GT has been revealed over the weekend, bringing insane amounts of output. Hennessey says that the new Venom GT (2013) is going to be powered by a 7.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an output of 1500 hp! The new Hennessey Venom GT (2013) will be available with a choice between a 7-speed automatic gearbox with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, or a 6-speed manual transmission. The 2013 Venom GT is going to be faster than the Bugatti Veyron. With a weight of just 1,220 kg, Hennessey expects it to get from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.2 seconds. The top speed of the new hypercar is rated at 272 mph (440 km/h).

Apart from the new engine, the 2013 Hennessey Venom GT is going to feature several exterior design changes. These include scissor doors, and a modified roof to offer more interior space for taller occupants. As you probably know, the Venom GT is based on a Lotus. The 2013 model is going to lose the Lotus-style headlights for newly designed ones. It's also going to receive a new hood, re-designed side skirts, modified side mirrors and a new front bumper.

The 2013 Hennessey Venom GT's price has not been announced yet.

UPDATE: 2013 Hennessey Venom GT's price has been set to $1.25 million. If you want the optional seven-speed paddle-shift automatic gearbox, the car will cost you an extra $165,000.
