Although a few initial design images of the Hennessey Venom GT have been released already, the company has released a new teaser image of the final model. The Hennessey Venom GT debut has also been announced to take place on March 30, 2010. The Hennessey Venom GT is based on the Lotus Elise and will be available in three power levels: 725 bhp, 1,000 bhp or a racing version developing 1,200 hp. The 1,000 bhp version of the Hennessey Venom GT has been announced previously to output around 1,000 lb-ft of torque. To get this power levels, the Hennessey Venom GT hides under its hood an LS9 engine from the Corvette ZR1.
The official numbers say the Hennessey Venom GT has a top speed of 262 mph and a 0 to 60 mph
acceleration time of 2.2 seconds. These numbers are made possible by the low, 1100 kg, weight of the car.
The Hennessey Venom GT price will start at 600,000 USD.
