Jay Leno has released this new Hennessey Venom GT review video in the latest episode of his web-based car program. This Hennessey Venom GT review video is one of the first to ever hit the web showing the mad, Lotus Elise based, Bugatti Veyron rival. The Hennessey Venom GT is powered by a 6.2 liter LS9 V8 engine pulled out directly from a Corvette ZR1 that develops a massive 1,200 hp. The Hennessey Venom GT weighs just 1,071 kg, including its Ricardo 6-speed gearbox, so the performance numbers are simply amazing. The car needs only 2.2 seconds to get from 0 to 60 mph. The top speed of the Hennessey Venom GT is officially rated at 262 mph, and the price at 600,000 USD.
This is not actually much, taking into account
that the Hennessey Venom GT is able to offer the same thrilling performance as the 1.5 million Veyron. The Hennessey Venom GT will be built in 10 units per year, so chances are, you're not going to see one on the street very soon.
