A driver from Wembley, UK, protested for 30 hours by staying in his car after it was clamped by the authorities. The driver, 27-year-old Haroon Zafaryab, began his protest after he found his car was clamped on Wednesday. He was asked to pay 365 GBP to free his car. Considering this is an abuse as he didn't park his car there for more than the 2-hour time limit, he started his protest. He entered the clamped car and didn't leave for 30 hours. The members of his community supported him by bringing him food, water and even tea. If he didn't stay in his car, a tow truck could come and take it.

The first 365 GBP ticket was just the beginning. In the following hours, our driver received 40 more tickets, with a total amount of 3,565 GBP.

Mr. Zafaryab was released of his protest on Thursday evening, after he paid just 100 GBP of the total fine.

Citywatch Parking Enforcement has refused to comment the event, however, the UK minister has announced plans to ban the clampers from all private land in England and Wales.
