Ferrari has long been rumored to be developing a high-performance version of the 458 Italia. Apparently, this hard-core model is going to be called the 458 Scuderia, or the Monte Carlo or the Challenge Stradale. Whatever the its name is going to be, the Ferrari 458 Scuderia is expected to have its world debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show this fall. As with the 430 Scuderia, the 458 Scuderia is going to be lighter and a bit more powerful the standard version of the supercar. Ferrari will power the 458 Scuderia with the same 4.5-liter V8 engine, but the unit’s horsepower is expected to be around 600 hp. There's no information currently regarding the torque output of the 458 Scuderia. However, our sources inform us that the redline is going to be increased to 9,300 rpm.

The engine of the 458 Scuderia is going to send its power to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The get the extra power of the 458 Scuderia, Ferrari is probably using a remapped ECU, a bespoke exhaust system, and forged connection rods.

As you're probably expecting, the Ferrari 458 Scuderia is going to have slightly modified aerodynamics, thanks to various carbon fiber additional parts.
