Our friends at Automarket got hold of a number if images of the Ferrari 599 XX testing on the Maranello home of the Prancing Horse. Although this looks like Ferrari is planning to put the Ferrari 599 XX on the market, we guess they're going for a single brand race series, like Lamborghini does with Super Trofeo. The Ferrari 599 XX is powered by the same V12 power house as the Enzo and is able to output 700 hp at 9,000 rpm. To put all those horses under the hood, the Italian manufacturer had to give the Ferrari 599 XX a new air intake and exhaust and to modify the inner workings of the engine. The Ferrari 599 XX is also fitted with a new transmission that is able to change gears in 60 milliseconds.
If we're right and the Ferrari 599 XX is preparing for a single brand race series, we'll have to make sure we won't miss it.
