The Ferrari 599XX Evolution package was premiered this week at the Bologna Motor Show. Ferrari's Evolution pack for the 599XX enhances the performance of the non-homologated sports berlinetta, by giving it more power, new aerodynamics and a few other updated elements. The Ferrari 599XX Evo comes with an improved chassis, active aerodynamics, and new Pirelli tires. The car is 20 hp more powerful than before, having a total output of 750 hp at 9000 rpm and 700 Nm of torque. The 599XX Evolution is also 35 kg lighter than its predecessor, which is always a good thing.

One of the new features brought by the 599XX Evolution package is the active rear wing, which works based on a new concept called "opening gap".

The wing is very similar to the ones used in Formula 1 and is meant to adjust the downforce in order to make higher cornering speeds possible. The Ferrari 599XX's ESP, ABS, SCM and F1-Trac work together with this new active wing for improving the performance of the track-only supercar. When adjusting the rear wing, the 599XX Evo's computer takes into account data, which includes steering wheel angle, longitudinal acceleration, lateral acceleration and vehicle speed.

The Ferrari 599XX Evolution also comes with a new front splitter and a new diffuser. At 200 km/h, the 599XX Evolution generates as much as 440 kg of downforce, which is huge.

Ferrari says that the new 599XX Evolution can lap the Fiorano racetrack in 1 minute and 15 seconds.
