Ferrari Enzo V8

The Ferrari Enzo was released back in 2002 and since then it has been an icon of the supercar world. In 2012, when it is expected to be replaced, we might see a Ferrari Enzo V8 on the streets. The bosses over at Ferrari are thinking about replacing the 6.2 liter V12 engine currently under the bonnet of the Ferrari Enzo with a more efficient V8 turbo engine.

The Ferrari F40 used to be powered by a V8 engine but the Scuderia replaced it slowly with the bigger V12 and V10 engines. Roberto Fedeli, the technical director over at Ferrari confirmed that they are currently taking both options into account for the Enzo replacement: a V12 engine or a Frrari Enzo V8.

To make a supercar even more supercar you have to lose weight or gain power. Roberto Fedeli said that Ferrari is not focusing on the power wars anymore so they have to be focusing on losing weight. The best way to do that would be to have a Ferrari Enzo V8 turbo engine.
