Ford revealed at the 2013 SEMA show a Transit Connect concept inspired by a Hot Wheels scale model. The Ford Transit Connect Hot Wheels comes with a long list of modifications, including a wide body kit, shaved door handles with remote pop door openers, and dual stock-car style side exhaust pipes. The Transit Connect Hot Wheels' body kit include wider wheel arches, a new front bumper, a modified hood with vents for cooling the engine compartment, a huge front grille, a modified rear bumper with an integrated diffuser and re-styled side skirts. Ford also equipped their Hot Wheels Transit Connect with a Mustang Boss-inspired front splitter, anti-fishtail shark fins, and a custom exterior finish. The Hot Wheels Ford Transit sits on 2-inch Rotiform alloys, and Falken tires.

Thanks to the 2.5-liter Ti-VCT engine, the Hot Wheels Transit Connect has a towing capacity of 2,000 lbs. For a more dramatic look, Ford gave their Hot Wheels Transit custom rear cargo doors and gullwing side doors.

For the interior of the Transit Connect Hot Wheels, Ford chose Recaro seats, Sortimo tool drawers, a 55-inch LED display, WiFi, a pit-to-race-car communications system, and two beds.
