Ford revealed today the Transit SuperSportVan at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham. The Transit SuperSportVan, or SSV, is a one-off vehicle, built especially for the this event, which will probably never go into mass production. The new Transit SuperSportVan is powered by a 5-cylinder 3.2-litre Duratorq TDCi engine which is the biggest one Ford offers on its van model range. This means that the Transit SuperSportVan outputs 200 PS and 470Nm of torque between 1700 rpm and 2500 rpm. The get the best power-to-weight ratio possible, the SuperSportVan is based on the short wheelbase 2010 Ford Transit SportVan.

Ford did not release any performance figures regarding the new Transit SuperSportVan, but we

bet this isn't your every day van. Apart from the extra power, Ford's Transit SuperSportVan comes with "go-faster" stripes, twin exhaust pipes, alloy wheels, low profile 235/45 tires and a new body kit. In comparison to the standard Transit, the SuperSportVan features new front and rear aprons, side skirts and wider wheel arches.

The Ford Transit SuperSportVan showcases a long list of optional extras, including LED daytime running lights, LED cargo lights, leather seats and a Satellite Navigation FX system with a 5 inch color screen.
