The lightweight Fuoss 01 track car is powered by a 398 cc engine that outputs 43 hp at 8,500 rpm and 40 Nm at 5,700 rpm and is coupled with a 5-speed sequential gearbox. You'd think these numbers are not much, but the car only weighs 300 kg. The power to weight ratio of the Fuoss 01 translates into a top speed of 145 km/h. The 0-100 km/h sprint has not been announced. The Fuoss 01 track car features an mid-engine design with a lattice tube frame chassis, a double wishbones triangle with a fully adjustable Ohlins spring leg per page front suspension and a fully adjustable Ohlins central suspension strut for the rear.
The Fuoss 01 track car has been developed by Dieter Fuoß and it will go on sale in the first quarter of 2009. The Fuoss 01 price is 29,000 Euros.
