Jaguar announced today its plans to build C-X75 hybrid supercar concept that took the world by storm last September. The Jaguar C-X75 will be built in only 250 units, with a price ranging from 700,000 to 900,000 GBP, depending on the market and local taxes. The production version of the Jaguar C-X75 will be powered by a highly boosted petrol engine and two electric motors, one for each axle. Jaguar's C-X75 will be four-wheel-drive and promises to offer a CO2 emissions level as low as 99 g/km. The electric only range of the C-X75 will be 50 km.

In terms of performance, the Jaguar C-X75 is expected to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds and from 0 to 100 mph in just 6 seconds. Jaguar estimates that the top speed of the C-X75 will be higher than 200 mph.

Jaguar will build the C-X75 carbon-fiber chassis and will employ the help of various technologies developed in motorsport.

Jaguar says they will develop the production version of the C-X75 in collaboration with Williams F1. They will provide their expertise in such areas as aerodynamics, carbon composite manufacture and hybrid technologies.

We'll have more details on the Jaguar C-X75 as soon as they're available.
