Jaguar premiered at this year's New York auto show the facelifted 2012 XK, both coupe and convertible, and the revised 2012 XKR. Most of the changes brought by the 2012 Jaguar XK facelift, and the 2012 XKR facelift, are cosmetic. The engines remain pretty much the same. The exterior design of the XK facelift is shared with the 2012 Jaguar XKR-S, which had its world debut at the previous Geneva auto show.
The styling changes include new headlights, which are now 15 mm slimmer and also include LED daytime running lights, and a larger oval grille framed in chrome. The 2012 Jaguar XKR facelift features a black front grille with two air scoops on each side for cooling the brakes.
The Jaguar XK facelift also features two horizontal vents, mounted on each wing that help the vehicle look lower and longer.
Jaguar also re-designed the rear lights of the 2012 XK facelift, including LED technology, and a thinner chrome strip.
The price list for Jaguar’s facelifted XK, starts at 65,000 GBP and goes up to 97,000 GBP for the top of the line XKR-S.
